Based on the song 'She Brakes for Rainbows' - The B-52s. For a contest by .

Whoa! That was fun. Been a while since I've drawn a whole colored pic in one sitting. I had to get over my perfectionism and just go on and do the whole thing without worrying to much. Came out wrong in all kinds of ways, but I'm glad I did it.
Used pencil for rough sketch, inked it over with a pen, colored with colored pencils and highlighted with a corrective pen. Done relatively fast, all very messy and fun.
Worked from an idea I had for this Brenda character from the song, but it changed while working.. much more interesting.

The jacket especially is really nicely done. It's real nice to see traditional media colouring, as well as multiople-colour use. Also, impressive foreshortening. ^^
